Superior Gunpowder Tea is a high-quality green tea from Zhejiang Province, China. Known for its distinctive appearance, the tea leaves are tightly rolled into small pellets that resemble gunpowder. This traditional processing method has remained largely unchanged since the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), involving hand-rolling and stir-frying the leaves to achieve their characteristic shape and flavor.

Superior Gunpowder Tea offers a robust and bold flavor with subtle hints of oakiness. The infusion yields a dark green liquor with a refreshing and clean taste. To brew, use 1 teaspoon of tea per 8 ounces of water at 175°F (80°C) and steep for 3 minutes​
