This traditional Chinese green tea is known for its unique processing method, where the leaves are rolled into tiny, shiny pellets resembling gunpowder. Originating from the Zhejiang Province during the Tang Dynasty, it is celebrated for its robust and smoky flavor. The tightly rolled leaves help retain freshness, making it ideal for multiple infusions. When brewed, it produces a full-bodied, vegetal, and slightly nutty flavor with a mild astringency. For optimal brewing, use 1 teaspoon of tea per cup of water at 170-180°F and steep for 2-3 minutes​
