GENMAICHA YAMASAKI
GENMAICHA YAMASAKI
This traditional Japanese tea blend combines green tea with roasted and popped rice, creating a unique flavor profile that is toasty, slightly nutty, and subtly buttery. Originating from the Edo period, Genmaicha was traditionally enjoyed by the Japanese for its warm and comforting qualities.
The tea is known for its visual appeal, with the popped rice kernels adding an interesting texture and flavor to the light green-yellow infusion. The Gisakone variant is crafted by tea masters in the Kagoshima Prefecture using ancient Japanese techniques. To brew, steep one heaping teaspoon of tea in 7-9 ounces of water at 85°C (185°F) for 3-7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.
This tea offers high antioxidant levels and low caffeine content, making it a healthy and refreshing choice. It can also be enjoyed iced for a refreshing drink on warm days
